One week retreat with Hyon Ja SSN and Jan Sendzimir JDPSN

Please note a change: The retreat will be led by Zen Master Hyon Ja and Jan Sendzimir JDPSN.
Zen Master Hyon Ja (Jo-Alma Potter) has been practicing Zen since the 1980s. She became a Zen Master in 2020. She teaches and leads meditation retreats worldwide. She is also interested in clinical nutrition, which she studied in the past. She currently lives and teaches in Vienna.
Jan Sendzimir JDPSN has been practicing Zen since 1975. He received Inka in September 2022. He has practiced and lived in various Zen centers across the US and Europe. Professionally, he is a scientist focusing on climate change and sustainability, and is also a passionate photographer. He currently lives in Vienna, where he is the abbot of the Vienna Zen Center.

1st entry: Sunday 21 June until 18:00
2nd entry: Thursday 25 June, 5:15 pm – 6:15 pm
End: The retreat ends with lunch on Sunday, June 28.
Transportation: If you need to be picked up in Dzbel, Chornice, or Jevíčko, please let us know and specify your arrival date and time.
Bring: bedding, sheet, towel, flashlight, slippers, tent (if you want), alarm clock (no phone). Organic soap and shampoo. For practice, simple solid-colored clothing (t-shirt, long pants, socks) in case you don’t have formal clothes. Clothes and shoes for the woods, even in case of “bad weather”.
Meals: vegetarian food will be provided. If you have any medical restrictions regarding food, please let us know when signing up.
Suggested donation:
1st entry – 6,200 (250 EUR) non-members, 4,700 (190 EUR) Kwan Um members, 4,200 (170 EUR) dharma teachers and dharma teachers in training.
2nd entry – 4 000 CZK (160 EUR) non-members, 3 000 CZK (120 EUR) Kwan Um members, 2 500 (100 EUR) dharma teachers and dharma teachers in training.
