Weekend Retreat with Igor Piniński

We warmly invite you to a weekend meditation retreat with Dharma Master Igor Piniński, JDPSN. Igor Piniński studied acting at the Film School in Łódź and served as the abbot of the Zen Center in Łódź for 14 years. In 2013, he received inka from Zen Master Bon Shim, qualifying him as a teacher in the Kwan Um School of Zen tradition. This includes teaching kong-ans, leading Zen retreats, and conducting ceremonies.

Arrival Times:
- Thursday, May 1, 2025, by 5:30 PM
- Friday, May 2, 2025, between 5:15 PM and 6:00 PM
End: Sunday, May 4, 2025, after lunch
Transportation: If you need to be picked up in Dzbel, Chornice, or Jevíčko, please inform us in advance and specify your arrival date and time.
What to Bring:
- Sleeping bag
- Flashlight
- Slippers
- Tent (optional)
- Alarm clock (not a phone)
- Eco-friendly soap and shampoo
- Simple monochromatic practice clothing (e.g., t-shirt, long pants, socks) if you don’t have formal attire
- Clothes and shoes suitable for the forest and adverse weather conditions
Meals: Vegetarian food will be provided. If you have dietary restrictions or health concerns related to food, please let us know during registration.
Suggested Donation:
- Arrival on May 1 – CZK 4,200 (non-member) / CZK 3,100 (member) / CZK 2,600 (Dharma teacher)
- Arrival on May 2 – CZK 2,900 (non-member) / CZK 2,200 (member) / CZK 1,800 (Dharma teacher)
Students and unemployed individuals receive a 20% discount. Members facing financial hardship or long-term volunteers assisting the school may apply for a discount based on their guiding teacher’s recommendation.

Due to the demanding nature of the retreat, participants must be familiar with the forms of our school and have attended at least one one-day retreat organized by the Kwan Um School of Zen or another tradition.
