Sangha weekend with precepts ceremony

We would like to invite you to the traditional meeting of friends of the Kwan Um Zen School, which will take place in the Zen Centre in Vrážne. It will also include a precepts ceremony.

What you can look forward to:

·       A personal meeting with friends.

·       A precepts ceremony. 

·       A Dharma talk by Zen Master Dae Kwang.

·       Morning and evening practice

·       Walks around the grounds, campfire.

Zen Master Dae Kwang, Zen Master Hyon Ja (Alma Potter), Jan Sendzimir JDPSN,  Knud Rosenmayer JDPSN and Jiří Hazlbauer JDPSN has promised to attend. 

When: 22 – 23 June 2024

Where: Zen center Vrážné (Seon Mun Sa), Vrážné 3, 569 43, Vrážné (map)

Arrival: Any time from Friday afternoon (21 June). If you want to help with preparations, you are welcome to come earlier (please let us know in advance).

End: Sunday afternoon, June 23.

Transportation: If you need to be picked up in Dzbel, Chornice or Jevíčko, please let us know and specify the date and time of arrival.

Bring: sleeping bag, flashlight, slippers, tent (if you want). Organic soap and shampoo. For practice, simple solid-colored clothes (t-shirt, long pants, socks) in case you don’t have formal clothes.

Meals: vegetarian food will be provided. If you have any medical restrictions regarding food, please let us know by registration.

Precepts ceremony: If you wish to take the precepts, please let us know by June 12, 2024. Those interested in taking 10 or more precepts, or those who wish to become a dharma teacher, must also contact their lead teacher by June 1, 2024.

Suggested donation: 1 200 CZK (50 EUR), children under 15 years 250 CZK (10 EUR).
